Mann Library News

I wrote stories about library events and services for the news section of the website. Jim Morris-Knower, Evaline Ferretti, and I were the primary writers for the news site, which posted 2-3 news stories a month. Here is a sampling of stories I wrote:

There's an app for that! CULite Library app for smart phones debuts

Writing walk-in service in Rm 160

Happy holidays: How to find study spots and avoid library fines during the end of semester

Mannifest

Mannifest is the Mann Library newsletter, published every semester. Jim Morris-Knower and I were responsible for producing Mannifest, although ocassionally subject experts would be asked to guest write articles if the subject was in their area of expertise. In addition to writing articles for Mannifest, I also designed and laid out the newsletter. Here is a sampling of stories I wrote for Mannifest:

Copy Editing

During the 2008-2009 academic year I was a Research Assistant for Dr. Dennis Charsky at Ithaca College. Professor Charsky's research focuses on eLearning and the use of games and collaborative technology to create innovative online and face to face workplace learning. I assisted Professor Charsky with editing and formatting course documents and manuscripts for publication, such as "Making a Connection : Game Genres, Game Characteristics, and Teaching Structures" which was published in the book Gaming and Cognition: Theories and Practice from the Learning Sciences.
